Our mission
RIA Confidential exists to help advisors make independence decisions with clarity, context, and credible sourcing. We aim to reduce misinformation and noise.
What we publish
We publish:
- Educational explainers and guides
- Market/industry insights and summaries (“signals”)
- Tool-assisted planning resources (calculators, checklists, readiness tools)
- Interviews and commentary clearly labeled as opinion where applicable
Sourcing standards
When we make factual claims, we strive to:
- Use primary sources when available (regulators, filings, official announcements)
- Cross-check key facts against multiple reputable sources
- Link sources when public and appropriate
Review and fact-checking
Before publishing, we check:
- Names, dates, figures, and regulatory references
- Whether conclusions are supported by evidence
- Whether language is clear, non-promotional, and not misleading
Corrections and updates
If we find an error, we correct it as quickly as possible.
- Material corrections will be noted on the page when appropriate.
- Updates may be made to improve clarity, reflect new information, or fix broken links.
To request a correction: Support@RIAConfidential.com (include the URL + the issue).
Conflicts of interest
We disclose relevant conflicts including sponsorship relationships, paid placements, and affiliate relationships (if used). Editorial coverage is not conditioned on sponsorship.
Sponsorship and advertising separation
Sponsors may support RIA Confidential, but:
- Sponsors do not approve, edit, or pre-review editorial content.
- Sponsored content is clearly labeled.
- Advertising does not imply endorsement.
See: Sponsorship Disclosure.
Use of AI and automation
We may use automation/AI tools to assist with:
- Watching Key Industry Signals
- Formatting and editorial workflow
What we don’t do
RIA Confidential does not provide individualized legal, tax, or investment advice. Any examples are educational and generalized.
